[The funny thing is he's very quiet. He shifts-- his whole spine curves up at an angle that can't possibly be comfortable, his toes curling against the floor, but he just gasps and otherwise makes no sound. He can't figure out what to do with his hands for a minute, restlessly patting the mattress until he settles on pushing and pulling at the sheets, but he's still nothing but gasps.]
